There is history abound at the Bubble Inn Furnace End, with the Grade II listed building dating back to 1534. This pub is full of character – there’s traditional décor, cosy nooks and low beamed ceilings – and you’re sure to spot the ancient hooks adorning the walls of the lower restaurant. The heritage is evident throughout the building, which is also rumoured to be haunted…
The pub is set in the hamlet of Furness End, which is believed to have acquired its name from the iron smelting furnaces that were once there.
The original building was extended in the 1600s to create a series of quirky rooms, which are the perfect places to relax and unwind with a drink. There are four areas to dine in this family-friendly pub, including our private snug. Providing dining for eight people (currently six due to current restrictions), it’s a great space for an intimate celebration.
Our new manager Nick Rai is sure to give you a warm welcome when you arrive. Nick is an expert on wines and is a dab hand at mixing fabulous cocktails from all around the world. We also have a new chef who creates delicious and comforting food that’s sure to satisfy even the hungriest of diners.
Outside, we have a lovely terraced garden with ample seating for around 40 people.
*There is no need to book a table if you’re just visiting for drinks*
